【Abstract】ObjectiveTo explore the effects of parental psychological control on depression in middle schoolstudentsand themediating roleofregulatory focusandresilience.MethodsAtotalof33O middle school students were investigated with parental psychological control scale，thecenter for epidemiologic studies depression scale，the regulatory focus scale and resilience scale.Results ① In both models，parental psychological control positively predicted depression in middle school students（ β=0.32 ， P<0.001 β=0.21 ， P<0.01 ，respectively）. ② Prevention focus and psychological resilience each independently mediated the relationship between parental psychological control and adolescent depression （mediating effct sizes： 0.16and O.06，95% CI [O.07，0.32]and [0.01， 0.18]， respectively）. ③ Prevention focus and psychological resilience demonstrated a chain mediating role between parental psychological control and adolescent depression [mediating effect size： 0.05，95% CI（0.02， 0.13）]. ConclusionThe study reveals the formation mechanism of adolescent depresion under family risk factors， providing scientific guidance for regulating excessive parental psychological control and alleviating depressive symptoms in middle school students.
