Abstract:Thechallngesassociatedwithpipeinesutdownintheproces ofpipelnetransportationinCCUSprojetsdiferfromtose inconventionaloilandgaspipelines.Themediumwithinthepipelineundergoes transienttmperature,pressre,andphasechanges, whichcauseanimpactonipelinsandaccesois.Terefore,itisparticularlyimporanttoeterineteoundaronditiosofafe shutdown. By analyzing the physical properties of CO 2 containing impurities,the safe shutdown duration is defined as the time when the mediumentersthegas-liquidtwo-phasezoneatanypoint inthepipe.Aphysicalmodelofthelong-distanceCCU pipeline isbuilt basedonOLGAsoftware,andtheinfluenceofdiferentparametersonthesafeshutdondurationisanalyzedbysinglefactorexperiment andgreycorelationmethod.Theresultsshowthatthepressureofthewholelinetendstobethesamerapidlyduringtheshutdown process,and the starting point first enters the gas-liquid two-phase zone.At inlet temperature of 45 ,outlet pressure of 9 MPa, soil temperature of and total heat transfer coefficient of 1.5W/(m2⋅∘C) ,the entry time of the starting point,the middle point,and the endpointintothegas-lqudtwophasezoneare21.223.1and70.5h,respectively.Therestartprocessinducesapressureurge, peakingatanincreaseofO.5MPa,which,however,doesnotafectthepresureofthepipeline.Itisadvisabletoextendthesafe shutdowndurationinconditionssuchaselevatedsoiltemperature,ahighertotalhattransfercoefcient,lowerinlettemperature, increasedoutletpressre,andducedpipelinethoughput,terebyfacilitatingmaitenanceandrepairoperations.Teresearchresults can be used as a reference for pipeline design and operation of similar CCUS projects.
