Abstract:Toacuratelyevaluatetheactualoperationalcapacityofsemi-submersibledrilingplatforms,asystematicmethodforthe applicabilityevaluationofseaswasproposed.Basedontheanalysisofairgap,globaltrength,anchoringordynamicpositioing,and stabilityteoperatiocapacityofssubmesibleplatfoswasevaluated.Tevaluaoetodndprocsforteplicabiltf the targetsea were put forward.According to the China Clasification Society's“China Seas Sea StateData Query System”,the variousseaareasintheSouthChinaSeaweresubdividedandthenvironmentalconditiodataofthediferentreturnperidswere calculatedandanalyd.Withase-submersibledrillngplatforasneample,itsapplicabilitynalyis toeSouthCinaSeawas evaluatedsystematically.Combiningwiththeenvironmentalconditionsdataof the SouthChinaSea,theseaareaapplicabletothe platformwasidentified.TheresearchresultsshowthattheaplicabilityateoftecaseplatforminteSouthChinaSeaisapproxiately 60% ,providingasientificbasisforoperators indecisio-making.Theproposdevaluationmethodandprocesscansereasareference for the operation capability evaluation of semi-submersible platforms in different seas.
