Interpretation ofISO 55013 for Data Asset Management

Abstract： [Objective] This paper analyzes the main content of ISO 550l3：2024，Asset management—Guidanceon the managementofdataassets，which explainsthe importance of effectivemanagementof dataasanassetand provides systematic guidance fortheconstructionof dataasst managementsystem.[Methods]By describing thecoreelements ofISO 55ol3 inthe areas ofasset datamanagement，assetdata value，identificationof dataassets，managementof data assets and datagovernance，andcombining them withthe practiceofassetmanagement system，thestandard proposes an efective path fordataasset-intensiveorganizations tofolowintheir management practice.[Results]ISO55ol3 provides organizations with guidelines for data asset management and promotes organizations to apply the aset management system given in ISO5500l to manage data.[Conclusion]ISO 550l3 willprovide the basis for the standardizationof data asset management system construction and promote organizations to fulycapture value indata asset management in the era of digital economy.
