ABSTRACT: The winter wheat“yannong 19′′ was used as test materials and was grown in Hoagland nutrient solution. It was sprayed with six mass concentrations (2.0,2.5,3.3,5.0,10.0 and 20.0mg⋅L-1 )of thidiazuron on the leaves of wheatat the age of 4O days,and the root growth,plant height,leaf area,chlorophyllcontent,dry mater content,the accumulation and key enzyme activities of nitrogen metabolism of winter wheatseedlings treated were measured.The results showed that thidiazuroncould significantly increase theroot growth,the plant height,leafarea,rootlength and dry matter contentof winter wheat seedlings,which could promote strong sedlings at the seedling stage,buttheimprovement effect was not significant.Atthesame time,the assimilationof nitrogen in roos and shoots of winter wheat seedlings were increased.The acumulation of nitrogen in root,shoot and total nitrogen of winter wheat seedlings treated with 5.0mg⋅L-1 was increased by 86.30% , 51.33% and 82.83% ,respectively,compared with the control. And the synthesis of soluble protein in leaves was promoted,with the most significant increase in soluble protein at 3.3mg⋅L-1 (20 treatment.To same extent,thidiazuron could increase the synthesisof chlorophyll and photosynthetic soluble sugars,but had no significant efectonthe synthesis of carotenoids.For nitrogen metabolism,thidiazuron could regulate the process of nitrogen metabolism in leaves and roots of winter wheat seedlings and increase theactivity of nitrogen metabolism enzymes.Compared with thecontrol,the key enzyme activityof nitrogen metabolismof winter wheat seedlings in leaves with the 2.5~5.0mg⋅L-1 treatments were the highest;The activity of glutamine synthase in roots with the 2.5mg⋅L-1 (204 treatment was the highest,and the activity of glutamate synthase in roots treated with 5.0mg⋅L-1 was the highest, which increased by 180.00% and 80.30% ,respectively,compared with the control. Among them, 3.3mg⋅L-1 treatment was the best,which cansignificantly promote the growth and nitrogen absorptionof winter wheat seedlings,and ncrease the activity ofnitrogen metabolism.
