Promoting effect of resveratrol on egg quality and embryo development rate of experimental mice

ABSTRACT:To investigate the effects of resveratrol (RSV)on ovulation volume,fertilized egg development,and litter yield of mice,18 aged 3-4 weeks C57BL/6J female mice were intraperitoneally injected with pregnant horse serum hormone (PMSG,10 U per mouse)for hyperexcretion as a blank control group,18 micein the experimental group were simultaneouslyintraperitoneally injected withRSVand18miceinthe negativecontrol group were simultaneouslyinjected with dimethyl sulfoxide (the volume fraction was 1% DMSO). The number of ovulated eggs,in vitro fertilization ability of eggs,developmentalabilityoffertlizedeggs inrecipientmice,and posttransplant literrateineach groupof mice were observed and analyzed.The results showed that the average number of ovulations and cleavage rate in vitro,blastocyst formation rate,implantationrateandliterrateoffertilized eggs intheuterus of recipient mice with ICR(without RSV injection) in the experimental group were ( (34.02±5.54) , (90,37±1.84)% , (93.89±3.47)% , (68.89±4.19)% ,and ( (51.94±3.76)% ,respectively,which were significantly higher than those in the blank group and negative control group ( ⋅P<0.05) . To sum up,intraperitoneal injection of RSV can significantly improve the reproduction performance and fficiency of experimental mice during superovulation.
