Establishing a geo-sensing fiber optic networks for ensuring the safe operation of critical infrastructure

Abstract：Infrastructureseresasthegeotechicalfoundationsupportingsocialproductionanddailylife，anditssafetyisdirectly relatedtosocialstabilityandthequalityofhumanlivingenvironments.Asthefundamentaload-bearingand hazard-bearingmediumof infrastructure，ockadsomasesaeproductsoflong-tenatualevoutio，adthirabilityis trefreakeyctortoling thesafetyofgotcalgingte.Owgtoeirtralrooentdretetaity extremelychallengingtoobtainreliableinformationontheprogresivedeformationandfailureprocesssofrockandsoilmasses. Startingfromtehstoricalevolutionofisituobservationtechologiesforgeomaterals，thisstudyintroducesthconceptofulti physical-fieldsensingofrockandsoilmases，mphasizingthatsensingrepresents thehighest levelof geotechnicalobsevation， withcontinuousspatiotemporalcharacterzationasitsmostprominentfeature.Thebasicprinciplesandtechnicaladvantagsof3Ds distributedoticalfrsinghologepreeted，ichisetlygdedseofteostetiearocfor achievingtruegeo-sensing.Furthermore，thefundamentalframeworkofageo-sensingfiberopticnetwork（GFOSN）constructedbased ongeologicalboreolesisproposdItispotedout hatgeologicalboreolesdistributedthrougouttesubsurfeconstituteavalable butlargelyunderutledmonitorngresoue，astemajorityofteseboreolesarebackfilldorbandonedafterdrilingsulting inasignificant wasteofmonitoringpotential.FinallyteapplicationofteGFOSNinegional-salelandsubsidence moitoringis introduced，demostratingitspablitforlogteoiuousndpthgeecicalatiisdydotesthe systematicestablishmentofageo-sensingfiberopticnetwork，whichisexpectedtoprovideanimportant techologicalpathwayfor ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of large-scale infrastructure systems.
