Research on University Entrepreneurship Education， Competence，and Technology Entrepreneurship Based on the IPO Model

Abstract： Based on the IPO model，this study examines the impact of university entrepreneurship education on technology entrepreneurship activities. It develops a research framework covering university entrepreneurship education，technology entrepreneurship competence and technology entrepreneurship performance. Questionnaire surveys and empirical analyses are conducted among science and engineering students who graduated within the last five years. The results show that university entrepreneurship education significantly enhances the entrepreneurial intentions，entrepreneurial progress and competition award quality of potential technology entrepreneurship. When education types are categorized， both theoretical and practical education boost entrepreneurial intentions and entrepreneurial progress， while competition awards mainly benefit from practical education. Explicit entrepreneurial competence plays a mediating role between university entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intention， but its impact on other relationships is not significant. Implicit entrepreneurial competence does not show a significant mediating effect in the relationship between entrepreneurship education in university and technology entrepreneurship. It is recommended to increase investment in entrepreneurship education and optimize teaching methods to strengthen the development of implicit competence in potential technology entrepreneur.
