Generative Artificial Intelligence Empowers High-Quality Development of Manufacturing Enterprises： The Moderating Role Based on Enterprise Technological Innovation Capability

Abstract：Against the backdrop of the depening new global round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation，generative artificial intelligence is gradually extending from the content domain into the real economy，such as manufacturing，providing a new technological pathway for promoting high-quality development of the real economy.This paper selects data from A-share listed manufacturing companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2O19 to 2O23，constructs an indicator system for generative artificial inteligence and high-quality development，and employs a fixed-effects model to empirically examine the impact of generative artificial inteligence on the high-quality development of manufacturing enterprises.Particular focus is placed on analyzing the moderating mechanism of enterprise technological innovation capability in this relationship.The research results indicate that：generative artificial intelligence has a significant direct promoting effect on enterprise high-quality development；enterprise technological innovation capability plays a positive moderating role，enhancing the empowering effect of generative artificial intellgence and mitigating the challenges of the "productivity paradox"；the empowering effect of generative artificial intelligence exhibits heterogeneity，being particularly pronounced in large-scale enterprises and high-tech enterprises. The conclusions of this paper provide targeted references for manufacturing enterprises in the diferentiated deployment of generative artificial inteligence and in enhancing innovation-driven development capabilities.
