Spatial and Temporal Evolution and Driving Force Analysis of Habitat Quality in Shanxi Province

Abstract: [Purposes] Studying the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of habitat quality in Shanxi Province aims to provide references for its ecological environment construction and sustainable development.[Methods]This study utilized the InVEST model to analyze land use data of Shanxi Province from three periods (20o0,2010,and 202O),exploring the spatiotemporal distributionand evolution of habitat quality from 2OOO to 2020.Spatial autocorrelation analysis was employed to examine its spatial agglomeration patterns,and a geographic detector model was used to analyze the driving factors.[Findings] ① The average habitat quality values from 2000 to 2020 were 0.669,0.644,and 0.638,respectively,showingan overall trend of higher quality in the south and lower in the north. ② From 2000 to 2020,the global Moran's I indices for Shanxi Province were O.833,0.828,and 0.829,respectively,with all Pvalues less than O.O1, indicating a significant positive spatial autocorrelation of habitat quality. ③ The seven selected factors-slope,population density,elevation,NDVI, GDP,precipitation,and temperature all had significant impacts on the habitat qualityof Shanxi Province.In 2OOO and 2O1O,the factor with the greatest impact was slope, while in 2O2O,it was NDVI. [Conclusion] The overall habitat quality in
Shanxi Province shows a declining trend. It is necessary to strengthen ecological environment protection efforts to improve habitat quality. Keywords: InVEST model; habitat quality; geographic detector; spatial autocorrelation
