Fire Resistance Performance Test and Equipment Research of Pressure Valves

Abstract: [Purposes] In recent years,many enterprises have adopted fire resistance tests for valves to verify their reliability.However,existing standards and testing equipment have certain limitations,which cause significant inconvenience to valve fire resistance testing.To ensure the safe operation of pressurebearing valves,a new testing device was developed.The reliability of the valve fire resistance test was further verified through a comparison of testing methods.[Methods] The fire resistance test methods and principles from diferent standards were analyzed.An experimental analysis of valve fire resistance performance was conducted by combining different test methods used both domesticallyand internationally.[Findings] By comparing the fire resistance tests of diferent valve models,problems in current valve fire resistance tests were identified,analyzed,andsummarized.[Conclusions] Through the analysis of the fire resistance test results of various valves,it is concluded that the fire resistance test of valves is a comprehensive assessment of valve design,material selection,processing,and assemblyquality.The fire resistance test remains one of the effective methods for verifying these comprehensive factors.
