A Modern Interpretation of Norbu Namgyal' s Poetry

Abstract：By repeatedly writing about his hometownLe'ain his poems，Norbu Namgyal establishes hisown literary base. His poems show how minority poets writing in Chinese imagine another language and life inone language and are haunted bythe resulting anxietyofidentity.His works haveshiftedfromlyricism tofolk narrative traditions，andinhis ethnographic writingabout the worldofhis hometown，hehasdispeledthedilemmasandanxietiesthatlayattheheartofhis earlier poems，and expressed his modern experience of and reflection on life in Tibet.
