Abstract Thispapersummarizes thepractical experience instructuraldesign forlargecopper smelting projectsundercomplex nearshoregeologicalconditions,using arelocatedandnewly-built180ktcathodecopperEPC projectasanexample.Thepaper introduces the design scheme of“zoned foundation treatment + prefabricated steel structure”adopted for this project based on the the site-specificconditions.Byreviewingtypical technicalisuesencounteredduringboththedesignandconstructionphases,targeted solutionsandreinforcementmeasuresareanalyzed.Taddress thechalengesinherentina“treesimultaneous”project (simultaeous design,constructndofation),aerocssualitytrolssablishdinepoct,egatediil measuressuchascollborativemanagement,designallowancereservation,andon-site technical services.Implementationresults demonstrate that this project ensured structural safety while achieving economic benefits,saving approximately 8% in investment compared to traditional schemes,and guaranteeingahighdesigncompliancerateand timelyresolutionofconstructionissues.
