AbstractThis study took the pepper industry in Baofeng County，Henan Province as the research object，adopted fieldinvestigation and literature analysis methods tosortout its industrial developmentstatus，identifyareas for improvement，andproposed optimizationstrategies.Relying onnatural，geographical advantages，Baofeng County's pepper industry has reached a planting scale of 540hm2 ，forming a dominant“wheat-pepper intercropping"pattern，and asalesmodel combining purchase and order planting.However，there remain deficiencies in industrial factor input， deep processing capacity，market and brand building，and interest linkage.Accordingly，the follwing development strategies are proposed： expanding the planting scale，strengthening the mechanizationsupport，improving infrastructure， and establishinga financial support system to increase theinput of production factors;fostering leading enterprises in dep processing，enhancing cooperation between industryand research，and developing deep processing; expanding sales markets and channels，promoting standardized plantingand brand building;and strengthening the connectionof interests through cooperative methods such as order-based planting.This paper provides areferenceforthe high quality development of the local pepper industry.
