Abstract:【Objective】Thisstudyinvestigated theefectsof inoculating Osmanthus fragranswith twoplant growthpromoting rhizobacteria (PGPR),YokenellaregensburgeiandPseudomonas moselii,toprovide areference forfuture PGPR application in o .fragrans cultivation.【Method】PGPR strains isolated from o .fragrans rhizosphere soil were selected for a pot experiment.One-year-old o .fragransseedlingswere inoculated with Y.regensburgei,P.mosselii,or left untreated(control group)to assess the impactsofPGPRon plant growth,physiological adaptation,and rhizosphere soil properties.【Result】Both PGPR strains promoted plant height and increased root fresh weight,stem fresh weight, rootlength,and stem length.Y.regensburgeidemonstratedamoresignificant efect onthegrowth characteristicsof O.fragrans.Both PGPR treatment could significantly enhance the CAT of o .fragrans.PGPR application increased soil organic matter content but did not significantly alter soil pH ,electrical conductivity,available phosphorus,or available potassium content.【Conclusion】The PGPR strains Y regensburgei and P .mosselii improved the rhizosphere soil environment and enhanced the growth and physiological processes of o .fragrans,withY.regensburgei exhibitingsuperior overalleficacy.These screened strains offer potential for developing specialized microbial fertilizers for o . fragrans, thereby advancing novel fertilizer research and promoting the growth of this plant species.
