Abstract The inflammatory microenvironment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases （AECOPD）servesas thecore driving factorand triggers airway injury，microcirculationdisordersand deterioration of lung function through mechanisms such asactivation of inflammatory cells，release of proinflammatory factors，oxidative stressand activation of the coagulation'system.Thisarticle focuseson the correlation between the theory of pulmonarycolateral micro-masses in traditional Chinese medicine and the inflammatory microenvironmentof AECOPD，aiming toreveal the intrinsic connection between thetwo from threeaspects：pathological mechanism，molecular level andclinical indicators，thereby expanding the clinicaldiagnosis and treatment ideas for the combination of traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern medicine，and providing a theoretical basis for the precise treatment in the future clinicalpractice.
