AbstractDepression,asamulti-dimensional mental disorder,ischaracterized byitscore clinical manifestations of persistent emotional regulation disorder,lack of motivation andcognitive function impairment.It hasbecomeoneof the mental health problems with the heaviest disease burden worldwide.Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)preparation,with their unique advantages ofmultiple ingredients and multiple targets,have demonstrated significant potential in antidepressant. However,the complexity of the ingredients of TCM and the highly selective permeability of the bloodbrain barrier limit its targeted delivery to the brainandclinical transformation.Thenovel brain-targeteddelivery system significantly enhancesthebioavailability andbrain-specificcharacteristicsofactive ingredients in TCM.Thisarticle reviews theroleof TCM preparation inthe treatment of depresion and the influence of the blood-brain barrier in the treatment of depression.It focuses on discussng the latest research progress of nano-delivery system,targeted delivery system,sustainedreleasedeliverysystemand inhalation deliverysystem inenhancing thepermeabilityofthe blood-brain barrier,optimizing drug release kinetics and reducing adverse reactions.There are 9O references.
