GU Enpeng's Experience in Treating Gouty Arthritis from Theory of “Spleen-stomach Qi Deficiency with Impaired Transformation and Transportation"

AbstractProfessorGU Enpeng believes that goutyarthritis isrooted in the deficiency of the spleenand stomach，resulting inphlegm，dampnessandblood stasis，which blocksthecirculationofqi andblood in themeridians，leading tostagnationand internalheat.Itisoften triggeredbyalcohol toxicity，fishandcrab toxicity.During an attack，redness，swelling，heat and pain are present simultaneously.The treatment should startfrom the spleenand stomach in the middle Jiao．When the middle Jiao is active，phlegm，dampness andblood stasiswillbeeliminated，and itisalso necessary to clear heat and remove blood stasis.When thespleen ishealthy，theacquired qi willbesuffcient.Itisalso necessary tonourish theliverand kidneys.When the spleenqiisabundant，the distribution of body fluidsis ina proper way.Coupled withthetonification of qi and nourishment of blood，the body's healthy qi is restored，pathogenic factors are eliminated，and diseases tend to heal. Acupuncture isused to regulate meridians，promote the transformation and transportation of the spleen and stomach inthe middle Jiao，and resolve phlegm，dampness and blood stasis.External application is used to clear heat，reduce swelling and relieve pain.Dietisusedto regulate theimbalance of the body and prevent recurrence.With suficient principlesand methods， the therapeutic effect is excellent.One test case isselected for analysis.

痛风性关节炎是指体内嘌呤代谢紊乱或尿酸排泄减少，体内血尿酸不断累积形成高尿酸血症，血尿酸饱和度超过血液或组织液饱和度时尿酸盐晶体析出、沉积于关节，继而引起炎症反应和组织破坏的代谢性疾病[1-2]。（剩余7055字）
