Abstract:Asalow-carbonalternativeenergysource,methanolfueldemonstratessignificantadvantagesintheheavy-dutytruck field.Thispapersystematicallalyestheysicohemicalproperties,nvironmentalbnefits,ndconomicefcencyofethanol fuel,hileigolgicaldcetdrstatieodctsiaodutyckotoical lyandinteratioallTersearchindicatestatmethanofueledtrucksexcelineducingparticulatemater(PM),itrogenide 0 Δ[NOx] )emisions,andfuelcosts.Chinese enterprises suchas Geelyand China National Heavy Duty Truck Group(Sinotruk)have achievedtechnologicalbreakthroughsandlaunchedmultiplematurevehiclemodels.Teresultsshowthatlarge-scaleaplicationof methanol-poweredtrucksrequirestheconstructionofacomprehensiveecosystemthroughdiversifiedpowersolutions(e.g.,methanol hybridsystemsandhdrogeproductionviaethanoleforing),suplyaitization,ndabonradingitegrationKeytec nicalchalleges,suchascold-startperformanceatowtemperaturesandthedurabilityofexhausttreatmentsystems,stilldeandfur ther innovation.Additionally,policysupportand infrastructurecoordinationremaincriticaltofostering industrygrowth.
