ABSTRACTOBJECTIVEToevaluatethequalityof Euscaphis japonica fromdiferent habitats.METHODSTherelative correctinfactorsofgallcacid，protocatechuicacid，elagicacid，isoquercitrin，astragalinandapigeninwerecalculatedwith quercetias theinternalreference；therelativecorrction factorsofeuscaphicacid，oleanolicacid，stigmasteroland β -sitosterol werealsocalculatedwithursolicacidastheinternalreference.Thecontentsof12componentsin18batchesofsampleswere calculatedbyQAMSmethodandwerecomparedwithexternalstandardmethod.Atthesametime，thecontentsofwater-soluble extract，alcohol-soluble extract，total ash and acid-insoluble ash were detected.The quality of E ：japonica was evaluated by principalcomponentanalysis（PCA），orthogonalpartialleastsquares-discriminantanalysis（OPS-DA），andweightedtechnique fororderpreference bysimilaritytoidealsolution（TOPSIS）method.RESULTSTherewas no significant diferencebetweenthe resultsofQAMSmethodandexteralstandardmethodforthe12componentsinthe18batchesofsamples.However，notable content variations were observed among diferent batchesof samples.Theresultsof PCAand OPLS-DAshowedthat S1-S7，S8- S12，andS13-S18wereclustered intoonecategoryrespectively.Sevenkeycharacteristiccomponentsvariableimportancein projection values >1 ，euscaphic acid，ursolic acid，protocatechuic acid，apigenin， β -sitosterol， isoquercitrin，and oleanolic acid， respectively.Theanalysisresultsofthe weightedTOPSIS methodrevealedthattherelativeclosenessforevaluating thequalityof18 batches of samples ranged from 0.283 5 to 0.644 1，with the samples of E japonica from Fengjie，Chongqing，demonstrating the highestquality.CONCLUSIONS Theestablished methodisaccurateandfeasible，whichcanbeused forthequalityevaluationof E. japonica combined with chemometricsand weighted TOPSIS model.
