Abstract Disciplinary construction is the cornerstone for a multi-district hospital to consolidate its foundation and shape itscompetitive advantages. Taking the disciplinary construction management practice of a certain multi一district public hospital as an example，this study elaborates onthe hospital's diferentiated campus positioningand disciplinary layout，a categorized and hierarchical resource support system，aunified disciplinary management framework，a medical technology updating mechanism，atalent recruitment，cultivation，anddiferentiated distribution mechanism，ascientific research innovation and transformation system，as wellasa disciplinary quantitative evaluation system.It is argued that multi-district public hospitalscan adhere to thedisciplinaryconstructionapproach of "homogeneous management，differentiated layout，and synergistic development".Theyshould base themselves onthe integration advantages shaped by multiple disciplines，focus on cultivating comparative advantages acrossdiferent campuses for each discipline，implement differentiated layouts，and pursue synergistic development to ensure efficient disciplinary construction.
