Abstract To promote the development of grade IV day surgery，Renji Hospital，Shanghai Jiao Tong University Schoolof Medicine participated in theconstruction of a regional day一case medical dataset，established evidence一based selection criteria for grade IVdaysurgery，created a perioperative management system with standardized pathways，improved the quality monitoring and standardized diagnosis and treatment management system，and explored a continuous improvement model for specialized day一case medical care.Through the pilot practiceof grade IVday surgery，the hospital has graduallyshortened patients'hospitalstaysandutilizedtheenhancementofthequalityofday-case medical diseases as a starting point to drive the development of clinical specialty capabilities.
