Abstract：Previoussatifactionsurveysonpublictransportationhavemostlyfocusedonlargecities，withrelativelylimitedresearch onsmallandmedium-sizedcities，andhavenottakenintoacounttheneedsof thekeygroupofcartravelers.Unlikeprevious studies，thisarticlefocusesonconductingsurveysonsmalland medium-sizedcitycartravelersandanalyzingthefactorsthataffecttheirsatisfactionwithpublictransportationSpecificall：（1）ConductinterviewswithcartravelersintheHuaishangInustrial Parkof Bengbu Cityandobtain158satisfactiondata;（2）WeestablishedanorderedLogit modelwithfactoranalysisandreducedthdimensionalityofthebasicindicatorsintheoriginalindicatorsystemtoobtain5principalcomponentfactors，which werenamed"convenience"，"comfort"，"reliability"，"conomy"，and"spatialperception"；（3）Theresultsindicatethat"cone nience"，"comfort"，"reliabity"，and"econmy"aresignificantidicatosthatafectthesatisfactionofsallandmediusized citycartravelerswithpublictransporatio，while"spatialperception"isotsignificant.Thisindirectlyrefletstattessgr capacityofpublictransportationinsmallandmedium-siedcitiesisapidlydecreasing，witharelativelylowprobabilityofovr crowding in carriages;（4） The goodness of fit of the model， McFadden's pseudo R2 ，isO.3632，and the fitting results can well explainthesatisfactionevaluationofsmallandmedium-sizedcitycartravelers.Basedontheregressonresultsofthemodeltar getedsuggestionsforimproving publictransportationinsmallandmedium-sized citieshavebeenproposed，whichcanhelppro motetheshiftof citizensfromsmall car tripstopublictransportation and increasethesharing rateofpublictransportation.
