Abstract： Since the introductionof predatory mites for biologicalcontrolinthel97Os，they have become the main category of naturalenemiesforbiologicalcontrolinorchardsinnorthernChinaandhavebeenwidelyappliedinvariousregions.Research progressof predatorymites innorthernorchards hasbenreviewedintermsofpredationability，fieldrelease，andappication techniques.Existing problems andsolutions forthereleaseof predatory mites inorchards have also ben analyzedand looked forward to，withtheexpectationof providingtheoretical referenceforthe integrated pest managementusing natural enemy predatory mites，andachieving thegoalsofreducing pesticideuse，increasingcontrol efectiveness，andenhancingthetimeliness of prevention and control.
