Abstract:【Objective】An investigation into theefects of varying hormone concentrations on the tissue culture of sour cheries from Xinjiang wasconductedto identifyasuitablecultivationsystem for this sourcherrycultivar,which is intended to provideasignificanttheoreticalfoundation fortheresourcepreservationandrapid propagationofelitesourcherycultivars. 【Methods】Oneyear-old branches fromsourcheries(Prunus cerasus)inKashgar,Xinjiang,served as theexperimental mate rial.Theimpact of diferent hormoneconcentrations on tissueculture was studied.Tisse culture was performed using single bud stem segments as explants,with MS medium as the base and various concentrations of 6- BA and NAA added to establish a rapid propagation systemforsour cheries.【Results】It was indicated that with MS medium as the base,theappropriate concentration of bud-inducing hormone 6-BA was 1.5mol⋅L-1 . The suitable concentration for bud proliferation was found (20号 0.5mol⋅L-1 ,with an average proliferation coefficient of 2.8. For root induction, 1/2 MS was used as the basic culture medium,and the suitable concentrations of IBA and IAA were both 0.5mol⋅L-1 ,yielding a rooting rate of up to 85.2% .Upon acclimatizationand transplantingoftherooted seedlings intoasubstratecomposed of vermiculiteandnutrient soil,asurvival rate of over 90% was achieved. 【Conclusion】 The tissue culture system developed for sour cherries from Xinjiang is applicable forresourceconservationandrapidpropagation,offeringhalthyrootstocksforproduction.Aditionally,itmayserveasareference for the resource preservation and propagation of other Prunus species.
