Abstract：Asa characteristic and advantageous agricultural product in Tianshui， Gansu Province，the industrial developmentof Huaniuappleis inseparablefromthesupportof highqualitygermplasmresources.The present situationof theconser vationand utilization of apple germplasmresourcesin Tianshui Huaniu was analyzed，andthe existing problems were discussed，including theunreasonabledistributionof germplasmresources，thelagofvarietybreeding，thelowutilizationrateof germplasm resources，thebackward research conditionsof germplasmresources conservation，and therelatively slowconstructionof germplasm resource database management information system.The relevant development suggestions were put forward，including strengthening the standardization constructionof germplasm resourcedatabase，strengthening scientificresearch，promoting thesharingof germplasmresources，strengtheningtheconstructionoftalentteam，andincreasingfinancial support，so as to provide reference for the sustainable development of apple industry in Tianshui Huaniu.
