Abstract： Apples are oneof the majorcash crops in rural areas of Pingliang.Pingliang has becomea renowned applepro ducing area inChina，forming a production patern characterizedbyhighqualitycultivars，dense planting modes，virus-free cultivationseedlings，diversified managementsystems，branded fruitsales，andcontrolable natural disasters.Thedevelopmentof Pingliang’sapple industryshowsthatthe prosperityofanindustrylies ininnovation，relies onsuffcient mometum， andrequires orderly promotion.This paper summarizes the paths and countermeasures for the high-qualitydevelopmentof Pingliang’sappe industry fromaspectssuch ascultivar optimization，seedlingconstruction，transformationof planting modes，change of management systems，popularization of new techniques，development of storage industry，expansion of brandefects，promotionof productionthroughsales，anddisasterpreventionandlossreduction，soas toprovidereferences for the development of rural economy in similar regions.
