Abstract：Insectmedicine，asavitalpartof traditionalChinese medicine，hasaunique efectonsomeintractabledisease.But theresearchprogressonthismedicineisextremelyslow.Thisarticleinvestigatedthemeaning，developmenttrackanddistinctive ffectsofinsectmedicinebasedonrelatedresearchs.“Soufeng”istemaincharacteristicefectofthoseinsectmedicineandthbio logicalactisofteseextractsdrivedfrotoseisetshavebencofied.ModepharmacologialeseachsosowdpositiveresultsoftosemedicineonRheumatoddiseases，oferinganimportantalterativetotemodernmedicine.Tirdly，theasos whythiskindofmedicinalinsectshasntbeendevelopedaswellasChinesemedicinalherbshavebeenanalyzedintermsofbioactie substances.Finally，theresearch progressonbiological products providesaviewtotheefectivedevelopmentofinsectmedicine.
