Abstract：Poecilobdella manillnsis isananimal traditional Chinese medicine withtheefectofbreaking bloodand clearig menstruation，expeling bloodstasisandeliminatingdisease，andhasawiderangeofusersandapplicationscenariosinChina.However thenaming andcorrespondencebetween ChineseandLatinnames ofspeciesaredevelopingdynamicall.Astheproblemsofmtiple namesandmisuseofChinesecommonnamesgraduallyemerge，thedificultyofidentifyingtheoriginalspeciesisalsoincreasing.In ordertobeterunderstandthehistoryofterecordandresearchontespeciesofoecilobdellnditsrelatedspeciesinChinando understandteevolutionnddevelopntofitsam，tispapercolctededmesticliteraturereatedtotspeiesclasifiatiof PoecilobdellmanilensisandPecilodellafromtearlydaysofthePeople’sRepublicofChinatoow，combinedwitharlerforein records，thecurrent subjectdata，thefamilyand genusclasificationandthecorrespondence between ChineseandLatinnamesof Po 一 ecilobdellamanilensisndPoecilbdellaweresoredoutndanalyd，sostprovidereferenceforelevantsholasands to better understand and distinguish such leeches in the future.
