基于语料库的注意缺陷多动障碍报道话语历时研究
——以《中国青年报》 (2001-2024)为例

Abstract:AtentionDeficitHyperactivityDisorder(ADHD),alsoknownas“hyperactivitydisorder”indailydiscourse, is a common neurodevelopmental condition whose media representation significantly influences public perception andthe social statusofthosediagnosed.This studyemploysacorpus-basedapproachcombined with Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA)to examine the diachronic processof discourse construction of ADHD in news reports published by China Youth Dailyfrom20ol to024.Itinvestigates thepersistentthematic focuses,evolvingtrends,andtheunderlying ideologicalandsocio-constructive mechanismsacrossdiferent historical stages.The findings reveal thatmediacoverage consistentlycentersonthedefinitionofADHD,itscore symptoms,affected populations,and treatmentapproaches, demonstratingadegreeofcontinuityand stability.However,the focus ofcoveragehas alsoevolved over time.Moreover, through strategiessuchaslegitimization,authorzation,andconcretization,themediahasconstructedamedicalizedimage of ADHDasadiagnosableandtreatablecondition,aligning with ideologiesof scientismand healthism,andreinforcing the dominance of medical discourse as well as the disciplinary logic imposed on patients.Based on these findings, the studyrecommends that future media coverage strike abalance between medical and social perspectives,avoid the subtledisciplining effectsofsingular“successnarratives”,presentdiverse livedexperiences ofindividuals withADHD, enhance theirdiscursiveagency,andengage withnon-medical policyissues.Theseeforts mayenablethemediatoplaya moreconstructiveroleinknowledgediseminationandpublicunderstanding,contributing toamoreinclusiveandpluralistic discursive environment.
