近者哀恸，远者围观？“12.18甘肃地震”中微博舆论场的情绪演化与媒体情感议程设置研究

Abstract：Emotions inonline discourse have becomeakey factor influencing the trajectory of public opinion during sudden natural disasters.This study examines the case of the“December 18th Gansu Earthquake” and investigates the distribution of emotions on the Weibo social media platform and their impact on online agenda-seting in crisis conditions.Employing acomputational communication approach，the study employs a BERT-based deep learming model to conduct sentiment analysis onadataset of23，80l Weibo posts.It maps the quantitative characteristics and temporal-spatial evolution of online emotions related to the earthquake，aiming to uncover how media-driven emotions influence public emotional cognition in digital environments.Findings revealasignificant emotional imbalance between earthquake-affectedand non-affectedregions，with the former often becoming“emotional vacuums”or“emotionally underepresented zones”in the national online discourse. The studyalso finds thataffective agenda-setingby news media playsa critical role in shaping the overall online agenda，with positive emotional valenceexerting astronger influence than negative valence.By linking positive emotions to disaster narratives，news media construct an emotional chain of“disaster-rescue-hope，which reshapes the public's emotional cognition network of disaster events.
