Experience in treating adolescent myopia by the therapy of unblocking meridians to improve vision

[Abstract]Myopia isacommon eye disease in clinical practice. In recent years， myopia has shown a trend of earlyand highincidence，andadolescenceisacriticalperiodformyopiapreventionandontrolProfesorGUOXianuibelievesthatmyopia inadolescentsisausedbyimproperuseoftheeyes，whichesultsindeficiencyofeneandbloodoverstrainofteind， blockageofthemysterious mansion（theqipassgesitheeyes），andbloodstasisinecularmeridians，tusleadingtoalackof nourishmenttotheeyes.Thetreatmentshouldcombineunblockingandnourishing methods，focusingonrelievingdepressionand resolvingstagnation，cultivatingessenceandblood，egulatingthespiritndtonifingqi，soastestoreorderlyandoous flowofqiandbloodintheeyes.Basedontheprincipleofregulatingboththelocalsymptomsandtheoverallbody，thetherapyof unblockingmeridianstoimprovevisionintegratesthreetherapeuticapproaches，ie.tuinawalnutmoxibustionandqigongof improvingvision，andemphasizesdailycaretoimprovemyopia.ThisarticlesummarizesProfessorGUO'sexperienceinreating adolescent myopia and provides new ideas for its clinical treatment.
