Experience of Professor ZHU Zhenhua in prevention and treatment of pediatric combined allergic rhinitis and asthma syndrome

[Abstract]Thispapersummarizes Profesor ZHU Zhenhua'sclinical experienceintreatingpediatriccombined alergic rhinitisandasthmasyndrome（CARAS）.Profesor ZHUproposesthatthepathogenesisofCARASinchildren ischaracterized byconstitutionaldeficiencyoflung，spleen，andkidneyasthefundamentalbasis，internalretentionofphlegm-dampessas thecoremechanism，andwindpathogenasthetriggering factor.Intermsoftreatment，Professr ZHUZhenhuaproposesthe strategyoftreatmentbystages：duringthepre-onsetstage，thetherapyfocusesondispelingwind，unblockingorfces，and strengthening spleentoresolvephlegm，using modified Yupingfeng Powdercombinedwith Shenling Tongqiao Powder;during theatackstage，treatmentsaretailoredtopattrnpaterns（wind-coldinvadinglung，latentheatinlung，externalcoldwith internalheatandqideficiencywithphlegmretention）withcorrspondingtherapeuticmethods（warmingthelungtodispelthe cold，clearingthelungtodispelphlegm，resolvingtheexteriortocleartheinterior，tonifyingqitoresolvephlegm）；the remissionstageemphasizes tonifying lung-spleenandconsolidating exteriortoprevent ecurence.Additionally，ProfessrZHU integratescharacteristicexternaltherapiesincludingauricularacupointpresing，nasalointmentapplication，andherbal fumigationtoenhancetherapeuticefects.Acaseisattachedtoverifytheefectivenessofitsdiagnosisandtreatmentideas， whichreflectstheadvantagesofChinesemedicineinregulatingconstitutionandindividualizedtreatment，andprovidesreferenc forclinical treatment of children with CARAS.
