[Abstract]Originating from the Huang DiNei JING（Huangdi's Clasicof Medicine），the theoryof "spleenand liver disseminatingessence toachieveharmonious balance"aims torestorethefunctionof"spleenandliverdiseminatingesence."Its coremechanismiscloselylinkedtothehomeostasisofthegutmicrobiotainmodernmedicine.Inthepathogenesisoftype2 diabetesmelitus（T2DM）dysfunctional"spleenandliverdissminatingessence"andgutmicrobiotadysbiosisserveaspivotal pathologicalfoundations，formingaciticalpathologicalnexuswiththe"gutspleen-liver"xisdysfunction.Therefore，teoryof "spleenandliverdiseminatingessence toachieveharmoniousbalance"canbeappliedtothepaernidentificationandtreatment of T2DMBasedonthis，byleveragingthecharacteristicof"sametreatmentfordiferentdiseases"inChinesemedicine，thispaper has proposedtheuseof Jianzhong-typeformulas，Banxia Xiexin Decoctionandother formulas totonifyandregulate the spleenand stomach，therebyasistingthespleenindisseminatingessence.Aditionallfmulassuchasanggui ShaoaoPowderandChiu Guizhi GanjiangDecoctionareemploedtosimutaneouslytreattheliverandspleen，facilitatingtheliversroleindissmating esence.Thesemeasuresaimtorestorethehomeostasisofthgutmicrobiota，stabilizeblodglucoselevels，andcontrolthedisease progression， ultimately achieving a state of "harmonious balance"as described in the theory.
