[Abstract]Objective Toexplore theeficacyof modifiedErchenDecoctionandLiujunziDecoctioncombined with conventional western medicine therapyintreatingacuteexacerbationof chronicobstructive pulmonarydisease （AECOPD）（phlegm dampnessaccmulating inthe lungpatern）. Methods Atotalof136AECOPDpatients with phlegmdampnessaccumulatinginthe lungpaternadmitedtotheEighthPeoplesHospitalofHefeifromJanuary2022toJanuary2O24wereselectedandrandomly dividedintoobservationgroupandcontrolgroup.Thecontrolgroupreceivedconventionalwesternmedicinetherapy，whilethe observationgroupreceivedoraladministrationofmodifiedErchenDecoctionandLiujunziDecoctioninadition tothetreatment provided tothecontrolgoup ClicaleficacyTCMpatensoresbloodasparameters，lungfunctioindicatorsCOPAe Test （CAT scores，6-minutewalkingdistance （6MWD），serumlevelsof CX chemokineligand1（CXCL10）andCX3chemokineligand 1（CX3CL1） beforeandaftertreatment werecomparedbetweenthetwo groups，andthesafetyof medication wasanalyzeda well Results The total effctive rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group （ P- <0.01）.Compared with before treatment，TCMpattrnscores，CATscoresarterialpartialpresureofcarbondioxide（aCO），andserum levelsof CXCLnd CX3CL1 decreased in both groups after treatment （ P- forced expiratory volume in one second to forced vital capacity （FEV/FVC） ratio， FEV1 to the predicted value （FEVi%pred），and 6MWDaftertreatment（POO1），andtheaboveindicatorsintheobservation groupwerehigherthanthoseinthecontrol group（001）. Duringtreatment，noobviousadverseeventsocured ineither group.ConclusionForAECOPDpatientswith phlegmdampness accumulatinginthelungpatern，thetreatment withmodifiedErchenDecoctionandLiujunzi Decoctioncanrelieveclinical symptoms，improvepulmonaryventilation function，enhancethequalityof life，andreduce theserum levelsofCXCL10and CX3CL1， exhibiting significant efficacy and high safety.
