[Abstract]Objective Toexploretheapplicationvalueofthe"sandwich"teaching system intheresidencytraining for urologicalresidents.MethodsBasedontheresidenttrainingmanagementplanofourhospital，atotalof22Ourological residentsundergoingclinicalrotationintheFirstHospitalof HunanUniversityofChineseMedicinefromNovember2022to September 2O24wereselectedforthestudy.Acording totheresidencyrotationrequirements，eachtrainingcyclelastedone month，andallresidentsinagivencyclewereconsideredasingleresearchgroup.Allresearchgroupswereequallydivided into twogroups （thecontrol groupand theexperimental group）byrandomsampling method，withatotalof22researchgroups. All residentswereunawareoftheirgroupasignments.Theexperimental groupwastaughtbythe"sandwich"teachingsystem， whilethecontrolgroupadoptedthetraditional teachingsystem.Aftertheteaching，questionnairesurveysandassssentswere conductedtoevaluatetheteaching efctivenessof both groups.ResultsTheassessmentscoresoftheexperimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group （P>0.05） .In terms of recognition of the teaching system， knowledge acquisition， engagemnt，improvementofself-learningabilityandenhancementofclinicalcompetence，theexperimentalgroupoutpefoed the control group （ P* >0.05）.Conclusion The "sandwich" teaching model can improve the effectiveness of residency training in urology and is worth promoting in surgical residency training.
