Effects of Photovoltaic Shading on the Yield and Quality of White Konjac in Hilly and Mountainous Areas

Abstract:Thisstudyaims toscreeoutsuitablepointsforthecultivationofwhitekonjacinthephotovoltaicshadingareas.With the planting point (D) not affected byphotovoltaic shadingas the control,the effects of1/4 (A),1/2 (B),and 3/4 (C) below the photovoltaicpanelmoduleonthephotosyntheticproperties,growth,yield,andqualityofwhiteonjacwereexplored.Teresults showed thatthelight intensityunder the photovoltaic panels at diffrent meterorologicalconditions followed the trendof D>C>A> B.Atthe uber expansionstageand matuitystage,thenetphotosyntheticrate,transpirationrate,andstomatalconductance werein the order of C>A>B>D ,while the intercellular CO2 concentration followed the trend of D>B>A>C. At the maturity stage, the leafdiscdiameterand plant height atpointCwere significantlyhigher than those atotherpoints.Compared with pointDpoint C showed significant increases of 84.57% , 20.77% 3.68% ,and 14.84% in the yield, glucomannan, soluble protein, and soluble sugar, respectively,of white konjac.Inconclusion,it is recommended that white konjaccanbe cultivated atthe point 3/4 below photovoltaic panels.
