Identification of the BBX Gene Family in Chrysanthemum and Analysis of the Expression Patterns Under UV-A Treatment

Abstract:TheBBX(B-box)familyisagroupofincfingerproteintranscriptionfactors thatplaycrucialroles inplantightsignal transduction,photoperiodregulation,andsecondary metabolismregulation.The membersof theBBXgenefamily(CmBBXsin chrysanthemum(ChrysanthemummorifoliumRamat.)weresystematicallyidentifedfromthechrysanthemumgenomedatabase Mum GARDEN,followedbybioiformaticsaalysisandfunctionprediction.Atotalof35CmBBXswereidentifed.Theplogenetic analysisindicatedthatCmBBXscouldbeclasified intofivesub-families,which showeddifferencesintheconserveddomains. Predictioofcis-actingelementsinpromoterreginssowedthatthere werealargenumberoflight-resposiveelements inCmBBXs, andsome membershadMYB-bindingsites.UnderUV-Atreatment,theexpressionpatesoffourCmBBXs weresiilartothatofthe previouslyreported chrysanthemum anthocyaninregulatory geneCmMYB6.It is hypothesized that these CmBBXs maybe involvedin thelight-regulated anthocyaninmetabolism.
