The Current Situation and Transformation and Upgrading Suggestions for the Surveying， Mapping and Geographic Information Industry in Henan Province

Abstract： [Purposes] This paper aims to scientifically analyze and understand the current situation and problems of the surveying，mapping and geographic information industry in Henan Province，thereby identifying the direction for its transformation，upgrading，and high-quality development.[Methods] Through statistical comparison of official data and the results of questionnaires administered to competent departments and qualified units in Henan Province，this paper analyzes the current development status and problems of state-owned enterprises，public institutions，and private enterprises within the industry.[Findings] The surveying， mapping and geographic information industry in Henan Province is affected by factors such as policies and regulations，market environment，technical capabilities，talent structure，industrial layout，and difficulties in capital recovery.The overallsituation is'large in scale but not strong competitively，'making it urgent to enhance the industry's core competitiveness through systematic reform.[Conclusions] Countermeasures and suggestions for the industry's transformation，upgrading，and development are proposed from five aspects： policy deepening，digital and intelligent upgrading，talent planning，industrial upgrading，and capital control.[Conclusions] The countermeasures and suggestions for the transformation and upgrading of surveying and mapping geographic information industry and industrial development are put forward from five aspects： policy depening， digital intelligence upgrading， talent planning， industrial upgrading and capital control.
