Abstract: [Purposes] Metal surface treatment technology plays a crucial role in enhancing material performance.This study focuses on the development of this technology and explores effctive models under future protective functional requirements,providing theoretical support for its sustainable application. [Methods] By reviewing literature and analyzing practical cases,this paper examines the current applications of metal surface treatment technology to investigate its technological trends under future functional requirements.[Findings] Metal surface treatment technology is widely applied.In modern manufacturing, this technology is particularly significant.Under future protective functional requirements,metal surface treatment technologywillundergo in-depth development tailored to the characteristics of different industries.[Conclusions] The future development of metal surface treatment technology should folow a scenario of composite innovation and application.Under the demand for protective functions and aligned with current environmental protection strategies,it should delve into directions such as compositeness and multifunctionality, thereby driving the technology towards functional integration.
