Analysis of the Process of "Chlorine Supplementation+Precipitation" to forFreeAlkali Removal

Abstract:[Purposes] Since the tail gas generated by enterprise production contains carbon dioxide,the content of sodium carbonate insodium hypochlorite solution products is relatively high,failing to met therequirement that the free alkalinity in disinfection should be less than 1%~3% .Therefore, the current process needs to be improved.[Methods] Through the principle analysis,process design,material balance,and heat release calculation of this process,this article proposes the "chlorine replenishment+ precipitation" proces for removing free alkali. This process uses the sodium cyanide method to prepare calcium chloride production wastewater from the melamine process and combines it with the tail gas of this process to reduce the content of free alkali.[Findings] This method can achieve the requirement of sodium hypochlorite finished product with a free alkalinity of less than 1% (20 ~3% for disinfection by appropriately supplementing calcium chloride and other means.[Conclusions] Fully utilizing the wastewater from calcium chloride production and chlorine containing waste gas,is conducive to reducing environmental pollution,carbon emissions,and achieving resource utilization and recycling of resources; Providing a reference for the utilization of industrial wastewater and exhaust gas.
