Study on Leaching Behavior and Regeneration of Lithium Iron Phosphate

Abstract: [Purposes] To avoid heavy metal pollution and other hazards to the soil and water caused by the random disposal of waste lithium iron phosphate batteries,effectively recover valuable elements such as lithium and iron.[Methods] Waste lithium iron phosphate is regenerated and the performance of recycled lithium ironphosphate is tested.Firstly,acid leaching of pure LiFePO 4 was carried out to study the leaching law of Li and Fe.Secondly,LiFePO 4 was prepared by regeneration of LiFePO from the leaching residue,and the electrochemical performance of the regenerated LiFePO was tested. [Findings] The results showed that the optimal leaching conditions were O.1 mol/L H2SO4 and 1% H2O2 under which the leaching rate of Li reached 95.63% and the leaching rate of Fe was 7.1% . [Conclusions] After leaching lithium iron phosphate with sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide,lithium source was added to reduce it to lithium iron phosphate,and electrochemical tests were carried out to make it into button batteries,and good performance was found It provides an idea for the regeneration of lithium iron phosphate from waste iron phosphate in the future.
