Introduction and Screening of New Spring Cabbage Varieties and Comprehensive Evaluationof Their Agronomic Traitsin the YellowRiver-irrigated Areas

Abstract:Toselectspringcabbage varietiessuitable forcultivation intheYelowRiver-iigatedareas withsuperioroveal agronomicperfomane,herebyimproingtheoverallefciencyoftelocalvegetableindustrandstablisngasolidfoundatiofort developmentandbredingofcabbageinthisegion,1Oitroducedspringcabbagevarietiswereusedasexperimentalmaterials.13 agronomictraits,ncludingplantheight,pantspread,outerleaflengthuterleafwidth,umberofoutereaves,umberofuterleaf layersouterhflleflalegtalle leafballweightdohodrebedttiliselailisrialmptliste analysis,andielddiferensweeevauatedResultssowedtattheoefntofvaraonforouterleafweihtwasthigstat 18.38% ,while the coefficient of variation for central column width was the lowest,at 4.09% .Significant positive correlation was detected betweenplanthightandcentralolumnlengthouterleafwidthandouterlafweight,andeafballongitudinaldiameterandouterlaf weight,andaiglysignifiantposiiorelatiwenleafaltasveseameedutrafidhouterleafweihtdlaf ballongitalespielyialptlsasfdgoicaitst4ialpotsly sphericalfactor,singleplantyieldfactor,planthightfacto,ndcentralcolunfactor,whichcontrbuted85.44%tothecumulative varianceofthcomprehensiveperformance.Phenotypicclusteringanalysisdivided1Ovarietiesinto3groups:highyieldpopulation withlongergrowthperid,medium-yieldpopulationwithlongercentralcolumn,andmedum-yieldpopulationwithoderateoeal traits.Throughcomprehensivesoringandyieldvarianceanalysis,Tanganjiamei,Yingan1,andJiegan188wereselectedasspring cabagevarieties withoutstandingcomprehensivetraits,ithyieldsof13261.22kg/ha,125667.30kg/ha,and115454.28kg/a, respectively,representing yield increases of 8.80% , 3.04% ,and -5.33% over the control variety Zhonggan 21,respectively. These varieties can be recommended forcultivation as suitable spring cabbage varieties for the Yelow River-irigated areas.
