Reflections on Enhancing the Pre-Delivery Installation Quality of Purchased Equipment and Components in Shipbuilding

Abstract： Ship construction frequently involves instalation of purchased equipment and components. As these items pass factory inspectionsand bear certification labels before delivery to shipyards，their pre-delivery instalation quality is oftenoverlooked during onboard instalation.This neglect may lead toadditional costs due to quality-related isues.Focusingon controling and enhancing product installation qualityprior to delivery，this study synthesizes six critical improvement points based on practical quality challenges encountered in shipbuilding， providing insights for shipyards and component suppliers.
