Requirements and Calculation Analysis of Dunnage for Steel Coil Shipment

Abstract：Owing to the high-density and rolling characteristics，the stacking and securing of stel coil during the transportation are very important.Ship loading manual specifies the specifications of the steel coil and he quantity of dunnages，but without specifying the specifications of dunnages.This paper studied the requirements of CSS Code（Cargo Securing and Stowage Code），and selected the typical loading condition of stel coil as an example， through model simplification calculation，we can see that diferent specifications of dunnages willobvious effec the strength of innerbottom.
