Optimization of Deck Piping Layout for 64k DWTBulk Carrier

Abstract: Digital-intelligent approaches for lightweight ship design are increasingly applied in modern shipbuilding.Takinganew 64k DWTbulk carrier as an example, this study optimizes deck piping layout through precision design methods combined with Partran stress analysis software,AM3D modeling,and piping stress analysis.Results show 12% steel reduction and 9.5% pipe material reduction, achieving lightweight objectives.
