Design of Cooling Water System for an Intertidal Obstacle Removal Vessel

Abstract: The primary challenge for vessels operating in intertidal zones is cooling water system clogging, which impedes prolonged continuous operation. Particularly during beaching conditions,ensuring reliable domestic power supply becomes critical.Taking an intertidal obstacle removal vessel as an example,this paper outlines its cooling water system design, including sea chest arangement and strainer optimization methods.Solutions for maintaining power supply during beaching operations are presented, ofering references for similar vessel designs.
