Abstract: Large-scale steel structures feature high-volume production, structural uniformity, and internal similarity withnumeroussmal-sized,lightweight,andidenticalcomponents.Traditional designand nestingmethods suffer from prolonged design hours,low field kitting efciency,part los,and material underutilization.Focusing on a steel-shellimmersed tunnel project,this studyanalyzes the similarityof numerous smallconnectors within tunnel segments.Acommon parts design scheme is proposed,enhancing nesting effciency,material utilizationof small parts,field kiting efficiency,andassembly productivity,thereby improving enterprise profitability.This approach offers references for shipbuilding and large-scale steel construction.
