Abstract： This paper analyzes the problems with manual insulation material quantity statistics during the shipbuilding production design proces.A method is proposed to establish an insulation material database，associate it with the ship's hullcompartment structurequantities，and retrieve atributes such as material type， thickness，fire rating， and area. Using C++ ， corresponding software was developed to perform functions such as calculating， storing， retrieving，analyzing， and outputting reports on insulation material quantities.
