Probabilistic Damage Stability Study for Conversion of Offshore Supply Vessel to Special Purpose Ship

Abstract：This paper investigates the probabilistic damage stability requirements for converting an offshore supply vessel into a Special Purpose Ship（SPS）.By comparing damage stability calculation methodologies between offshore supply vessels and SPS，thestudy identifies key challenges inmeeting probabilistic damage stabilitycriteria and proposes targeted solutions.The analysis focuses on regulatory compliance gaps and structural adaptation strategies during conversion， providing actionable references for similar vessel modification projects.
